Service
Since I am a contingent faculty member, I do not have service or research requirements that I must fulfill as a part of my teaching contract. However, as an academic, I feel that service and research are a vital part of what I do as an instructor.
The mission statement for the group:
"The Adjunct Advocacy Association Employee Resource Group's mission is to improve part-time faculty compensation, benefits, faculty enrichment, resources, engagement, diversity, and inclusion, and to share information to improve the overall effectiveness and awareness of adjuncts and part-time faculty. The goal of the group is to effect positive change for UC adjuncts and part-time faculty which in turn improves the overall experience for students."

Chair
As chair I oversee all communications, including social media, public relations, digital marketing, and other media channels. I also work closely with the IT chair to ensure a cohesive strategy for raising awareness, promoting engagement, and enhancing the group’s visibility across platforms.

Mentoring
As an alumna of Northern Kentucky University MAE program, I feel it is important to give back.
Since August 2024, I have been participating in a mentoring program that pairs experienced alumni of the MAE program with current MAE graduate students.
